Firefox 7.0.1 plugin does not work

I am trying to install the developer plugin for Firefox 7.0.1 with no
success.

"Sorry, the GWT Developer Plugin only supports Firefox 3.0 - 6.0 at
present"

Then I try to click "plugins for other systems" and select the:

Download the GWT Developer Plugin For Firefox
Win x86, Linux x86/x86_64, Mac x86/PPC(3.x only)/x86_64

but fails to install also.

I am using Ubuntu 11.10 64bit with the built in Firefox (Mozilla/5.0
(X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1)
