As Thomas said you should use SuperDevMode. More information (although it seems a little outdated) can be found here : http://www.gwtproject.org/articles/superdevmode.html
On a side note. Some pageson the GWT-Project need an URGENT udpate :
-- On a side note. Some pageson the GWT-Project need an URGENT udpate :
http://www.gwtproject.org/gettingstarted.html --> Uses old DevMode
http://www.gwtproject.org/doc/latest/DevGuideCompilingAndDebugging.html#SuperDevMode --> Says SDM is only for early adopters
I think several pages from the tutorials, or linked from the tutorials are all using DevMode like http://www.gwtproject.org/doc/latest/tutorial/debug.html
http://www.gwtproject.org/articles/superdevmode.html --> The page about SuperDevMode looks outdated to me. I think it is more than a year ago that I used bookmarklets for SuperDevMode. I thought that was deprecated ?
IMO all references to old devmode should be removed completely from the website
Also I think some examples using some external libraries should be added. Jackson for JSon parsing, Bootstrap3GWT... But I see some examples using Polymer so maybe that is false.
In the meantime I learned that the website is just on GitHub, and you don't need to do special Gerrit stuff to do a pull request. So maybe if I can find some time...
