java to "HTML+JavaScript" cross compiler/generator - is this possible?

Hi,

on the GWT lines, is it possible to cross compile/generate to "HTML
+JavaScript".

Static ports to -> HTML
Dynamic portions to -> JavaScript

Please share your thoughts
