ant devmode doesn't work

Hello Everyone,

I installed gwt-2.7.0 and ran the webAppCreator command line tool. It generated the required webfiles, but when i run the command ant devmode, it gives me the following message

'ant' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

Any pointers on what I am missing would be helpful.
