And, for anybody that sees the problem I had of "*** Error in `java': double free or corruption..." when compiling, it went away when I added <localWorkers>1</localWorkers> to the gwt-maven-plugin configuration. Apparently, on a two cpu VM, the default is 2, and for some reason that caused it to fail.
