I can see the benefit of fast compilation but although there is info for performance improvements to JRE emulated classes on the change log, the code produced by 2.6 is smaller and feels faster and snappier than 2.7. Are there any performance tests showing the improvements in 2.7 against 2.6 for performance and code size? Code size isn't really too much of a factor but I can clearly feel that the performance is bogged down a little bit with 2.7 at least with our application.
