Check your dependencies, this was fixed in GWT 2.4: https://github.com/gwtproject/gwt/commit/ad144ac26693272b2d897454a13b7fddf389fedf (see linked issue, exact same error message)

Yes, I also found this issue. But I don't know how to solve it.

Do you mean the dependencies in the pom.xml file? Which dependencies are important?

And why is the same UIBinder xml file ok in the non-maven project?
