Yes. Smoke tests of RC1 had only showed issues with the samples, which have been fixed, so RC1 should be up this week (whenever Daniel has the time to do it).
And if nobody finds regressions or big issues with RC1, it'll be promoted to 2.8.0 "final" (and Guava 20 should be released at around the same time).
