IS THERE A WAY A LISTGRID FIELD can filter the valuemap while i am typing it

i have  put a valuepmap on the listgrid field and it  makes  filtering hard .

In short i cant type on the listgrid field  while the valueMap is filtering like the combox

i am using smartgwt 12.lpg

and gwt 2.7.0
