Just to expand on Jen's answer. For this solution to work, you need to
apply it to a div inside a cell:

.myDataGrid td div {
white-space: nowrap;
overflow: hidden;
text-overflow: ellipsis;
}

> Apply CSS to your cell:

> text-overflow: ellipsis;
