Also, I'll confirm that 2.8.2 fixed the problem in my flagship app for me. The only changes I made to my build.gradle file were to change Java source/targetCompatibility from 1.6 to 1.8, and change the gwtVersion from 2.7.0 to 2.8.2.

The GWT showcase app (http://samples.gwtproject.org/samples/Showcase/Showcase.html) exhibits the same behaviour and we've also seen it on certain AWS console pages. It appears to be event related, so hopefully the Chrome devs will fix it.
