As I answered yesterday on StackOverflow (https://stackoverflow.com/a/51231718/116472), GWT 2.4 predated even IE10, and cannot be expected to be OK with any recent browser (that leaves only IE9 and earlier).
You need to upgrade to a newer version of GWT (and remember that only the very latest is supported, currently 2.8.2)
