These backporting tools look interesting, wikipedia states that they convert java5->java4,3 I nave not found java6->java5 translator.
I'll try them.

Has anyone tried this yet?

Just an idea, and just for curiosity, using a Gwt 2.7/2.6 application with 2.4 libs on the backend.. Is going to work?

I'll surely try in che next days, I'll post my finding nere.
Other tips/suggestions are welcome.
