Chrome has problems with gwt plugin. Use firefox instead.

Description of the problem:

Following the instructions (www.gwtproject.org/usingeclipse.html) Eclipse generates a new GWT project, I try to debug it and Chrome says over and over that "GWT Developer Plugin" is not installed. Obviously I installed it (using the link provided) the 1st time.

O.S.:

Ubuntu 14.04

Eclipse:

I tried with Kepler and Juno, both installed from scratch. The GWT modules are installed by adding the new repository to Eclipse and allowing Eclipse to update itself.

For Juno: https://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.2

For Kepler: http://dl.google.com/eclipse/plugin/4.3

Chrome:

34.0.1847.116 (Developer Build 260972)

 

Java:

Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_55-b13)

Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.55-b03, mixed mode)
