Is there some sort of workaround for this? I want the color attribute to apply to my TextBox.

I have a problem where I'm trying to change the background and text color of a GWT( GWT 2.4) TextBox. 

In Firefox , this works just fine. In IE9, it takes the background color setting of the CSS but not the foreground color. 

So, my code looks like:

input[type=text] {

width: 140px;

font-family: Arial Unicode MS, Arial, sans-serif;

font-size: 11px;

font-weight: bold;

color: #000066;

border: 1px solid #A9BED9;

padding: 2px;

}

input[type=text][disabled], select[disabled], textarea[disabled] {

background: white;

    color: black ! important;

}
