This one had no effect (why?):.myPanel .gwt-TabLayoutPanel .gwt-TabLayoutPanelContentContainer
Because .gwt-TabLayoutPanel is not assigned to a child element of the element that has .myPanel assigned.
To check if multiple classes are assigned to the same element you have to remove the whitespace:
.myPanel.gwt-TabLayoutPanel .gwt-TabLayoutPanelContentContainer
