I tried, but something does not work, and I wonder if I'm doing something badly or is it maybe too old.

But given the last commit was 2008 and the downloads page for the current release says "Fixed some problems between 0.55 and GWT 1.5.2" I would not expect it to work.

You know maybe other factory generators?
