panels sliding/moving with scrolling action

we have celltable in center of the screen and a vertical panel that display information about the selected row in table.
The above layout works fine when celltable has less no. of rows. User can select row no 30 and still see the related info on right side with a slight scroll up. Now when no of rows increases say 70 and user selects row 65, then to see the related information he will have to scroll all the way up.

Can this be achieved in more user friendlier way? say the right side panel that holds the related information moves alongt with the selected row in table. I think I have seen such feature on google site sometime back.
Please suggest ideas or options to get this done.
