You have to change the default alignment (which is top and left) by using setCellVerticalAlignment and setCellHorizontalAlignment.

Alternatively you could also just use HTMLPanel or FlowPanel and use CSS along with absolute positioning for the buttons. Using CSS it would look similar to http://jsfiddle.net/zy3RV/
