It has been said that using too many widgets leads to poor performance because of the overhead associated with it. But just about all the examples I have seen use widgets.
There are "Hello World" examples using pure HTML, but it really does not get into the details with presenter, event handling, callback, etc. Anyone knows such examples?
I think the "widget" approach tends to appeal to Java programmers, that is why most of us do that way.
Thanks,
Yan
