CellTable How to disable a cell selection when SingleSelectionModel

The base implementation of List Views in my application utilizes SingleSelectionModel. Upon selection, you will be taken to a different place in the application(Selection Place).
One of the tables however has a ClickableCell which upon click event will also take you to a different place in the application(Click Place). Now when I click on the cell, there will be two place changes kicked in, one place change for Cell click and one place change due to SingleSelectionModel. Is there any way that I can one for the other? Basically do not kick in selection for the clickable cell?. I research the forum and found:

I tried to override  "handleSelection()" method in my Cell (as below) and it did not make any difference.

    @Override
    public boolean handlesSelection() {
return false;
    }

Any suggestion or ideas is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Arash
