CellTable and TextInputCell not getting focus consistently

I'm having some focus issues with the TextInputCell and the CellTable in both Firefox and Chrome (but not IE9)

Steps

1) You click on 1 TextField - it correctly gets focus and you can type, 

2) Click on a 2nd TextField that field does not get focus - the cell (TD) seems to gain the focus.  

3) Click a 2nd time and then that TextField, and it gets focus and you can type.

I'm not sure if this is a known bug (I could not find any issues on searching) - Is there some workaround I can implement to stop the CellTable grabbing focus on the TD element?
