Try:

flowPanel.add(w1);
flowPanel.add(w2);
flowPanel.getElement.setInnerText(flowPanel.getInnerHTML() +
largeText);

This might be dangerous in some instances, but the widgets should be
well-formed HTML, so adding your text to the end should work.
