RequestFactory sending entire list even when nothing changed in the list

Hi there, 

Using GWT 2.4 request factory, but observed this. 

I have an EntityProxy (parent) containing a list of EntityProxy (children). I put the parent in edit mode, update an attribute on the parent and then persist the parent, I noticed that the entire list of children are sent across the wire, resulting JPA is reloading the children from database. 

Is this expected behavior?
