Instead of adding the handler in your constructor you can overwrite Widget.onLoad() to add the handler to the EventBus just before the widget is attached to the DOM and Widget.onUnload() to remove it automatically when the widget is detached from the DOM (by calling handlerRegistration.removeHandler()).
