Thanks for your kind reply, however I did not work on the app engine since I posted this question (and I never use this e-mailaddress). I do not remember how we fixed this, I do not even remember the problem exactly. So I'm sorry I can't help you any further.

The only thing we did was add it to the web.xml:

    </filter-mapping>


         <servlet>
        <servlet-name>appstats</servlet-name>

class>
    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>appstats</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/appstats/*</url-pattern>
