Provide some suggestion on building enterprise web application using EJB and GWT.

Basically I have to decide on the tech-stack (Mainly RIA GUI) to be used to build an enterprise web application. The limitation is that i have to use the already existing EJB layer.

Some of the application functionality include the below list,
  •   Data Grid with huge data (May requires Paging and dynamic fetching of data from the DB)
  •    Dynamic Screen Navigation (i.e. Particular portion of the screen should be changing based on a value selected in the drop down list)
  •    Dynamic population of data to a drop down list or any other list components.
  •    Tree structure which is needs to be used as an input component (i.e. user should be allowed to select some items from a list and clicking on Add should add to   the tree and a tree structure is formed based on some criteria on the data)
  •    Popup dialog with some close button.
  •    Dynamic validation mechanism (i.e. some inputs to be validated only if some specific value is selected from the drop down)

The application is currently developed using Adobe Flex, But the application looks very slow and a switching of GUI framework is required.

Kindly suggest whether Selecting GWT with EJB is a wise decision or do we have any other GUI frameworks which suites well with the EJB layer which i have already developed and working.
